Liberty Institute, Robinson & McElwee, PLLC, and the Family Policy Council of West Virginia Secure Permanent Injunction that Prevents Federal Government from Forcing Christian Businessman to Violate His Beliefs in Order to Comply with Federal Law

Holland Chevrolet - Joe Holland

CHARLESTON, WV, May 29, 2015— Today, a U.S. District Court entered a final judgment in favor of the family owned, faith-based car dealership in South Charleston, WV, Joe Holland Chevrolet and its principal owner Joseph B. Holland, Jr., in their legal challenge against the federal government's abortion pill mandate. Today's ruling means that Holland and his dealership Joe Holland Chevrolet is no longer required to provide abortion-inducing drugs to their employees.

"The Court's ruling reaffirms the constitutional principle that every American is free to live and work according to their beliefs, without fear of punishment by their government," said Jeff Mateer, Liberty Institute General Counsel. "The government should never coerce faith-based, for-profit businessmen to violate their religious beliefs."

Liberty Institute, Robinson & McElwee, PPLC, and the Family Policy Council of West Virginia represent Joe Holland Chevrolet and Joseph B. Holland in the legal matter. An online copy of the ruling is available at the following link:
