It is a supreme irony giving promise for religious liberty. In 1969, the ACLU helped win a free speech case at the Supreme Court for antiwar protesters. Little did the ACLU attorneys know that today Liberty Institute - one of their frequent opponents - would be using this precedent to win back freedom of religion in public schools.
